Aasef Shaikh, MD, PhD, was awarded the 2016 Grass Foundation Award in Neuroscience by The American Neurological Association for his contributions to the field of neurology. He is a member of the Neurological Institute at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and is an assistant professor of neurology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Dr. Shaikh is board certified in neurology. He received his medical degree from the Medical College Baroda, and did an internship in pediatrics at St. Louis Children's Hospital and one in internal medicine at UH Cleveland Medical Center. His neurology residency was also at UH, followed by fellowships at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Emory University Hospital, and Cleveland Clinic.
