Newswise — AeroMat provides coverage of process development and advanced aerospace materials, structures and propulsion systems. Each year, more than 250 companies and organizations — representing metal producers, metal fabricators, OEM's, government labs and academia — send representatives to AeroMat to learn about the latest technical advances in aerospace materials and processes, and for the great networking opportunities that are a hallmark of this internationally recognized event.

This year AeroMat focuses on "25 years of Aerospace Evolution: Materials, Design, Manufacturing, Certification." Plenary panelists represent The Ohio State University (overview), USAF (materials), Airbus (design), Boeing (manufacturing), and FAA (certification). Recognizing the importance and impact of these presentations to the aerospace community, the AeroMat Event Management Committee offers complimentary admission to the half-day Plenary Program on Monday afternoon for those who are unable to attend the entire event.

Conference Chairman Dr. Thomas D. Bayha is Director of Titanium Technology Research and Development at ATI Allvac. He is responsible for leading the development of new titanium materials and processes for aerospace, military, space, automotive and biomedical product applications. He has 20 years experience in the development and characterization of materials and processes for advanced applications.

Abstracts for the event may be submitted by December 29, 2006. Visit http://www.asminternational.org/aeromat for details.
