Newswise — ALEXANDRIA, VA —The American Medical Group Association (AMGA) announces the launch of its interactive job board, the AMGA Career Center. With its focus on healthcare industry companies, the AMGA Career Center offers its members—and the healthcare industry at large—an easy-to-use and highly targeted resource for online employment connections. “We’re very excited about the AMGA Career Center, because we know how critical it is for medical groups, health systems, and other healthcare entities to attract first-rate talent with a minimum expenditure of time and resources,” said Donald W. Fisher, Ph.D., CAE, AMGA president and chief executive officer. “And it’s important for us help enable smooth career transitions for those seeking industry jobs.”

Both members and non-members can use the AMGA Career Center to reach qualified candidates. Employers can post jobs online, search for qualified candidates based on specific job criteria, and create an online resume agent to email qualified candidates daily. They also benefit from online reporting that provides job activity statistics.

For job seekers, the AMGA Career Center is a free service that provides access to employers and jobs in the healthcare industry. In addition to posting their resumes, job seekers can browse and view available jobs based on their criteria and save those jobs for later review if they choose. Job seekers can also create a search agent to provide email notifications of jobs that match their criteria.

An added benefit for both employers and job seekers is access to the National Healthcare Career Network, a group of over 280 top healthcare associations and professional organizations, including the American Hospital Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Association of American Medical Colleges. AMGA’s alliance with the NHCN increases both the employer and job seekers’ reach.
