Newswise — Oct. 2, 2013 – Microbial fuel cells, chemical sensors for your iPhone, and new materials with never-before-seen properties will feature alongside faster-charging batteries, safer nuclear power, and new crime scene investigation techniques this month at a major international meeting on the science of materials, interfaces, and processing. The AVS 60th International Symposium & Exhibition will take place Oct. 27 - Nov. 1, 2013, at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif. The meeting will feature more than 1,300 presentations from both the research and manufacturing communities.
