Newswise — TEMPLE, Texas (April 24, 2015) – Baylor Scott & White Health today opened new offices for the headquarters of Baylor Scott & White Health Service Company in Temple. Located adjacent to the historic Scott & White Clinic, Baylor Scott & White Health Service Company’s offices feature collaboration-friendly spaces that reflect the organization’s emphasis on innovation in bringing health care services to patients across central and north Texas.

“The opening of our new service company headquarters is one more step in the journey of transformation and integration we began a year-and-a-half ago when we merged Scott & White Healthcare and Baylor Health Care System,” said Joel Allison, CEO of Baylor Scott & White Health. “We are staying true to our commitment to both the Temple and Dallas communities by continuing to remain major employers in both cities.”

“The new offices will be a home base for several of the corporate support services for our health system, now the largest not-for-profit in the state,” said Robert Pryor, MD, president, chief operating officer and chief medical officer, Baylor Scott & White Health. “Temple has been our home for more than 100 years. As we grow, so does our presence here.”

This was a renovation of a portion of an existing office building on the 31st Street campus. The original building was constructed in 1987 as home for the Scott & White Health Plan, which moved in 2010 to a larger building to accommodate the Health Plan’s growth and need for additional space.
