Newswise — LUBBOCK, TX-- Covenant Health was named as a 2013 PRC 5-star recipient for children’s hospital nursing care, 4-star recipient for overall laboratory services and 4-star recipient for overall radiology services.
The 5-star award for medical staff engagement is given annually to hospitals that score in the top ten percent (90th percentile). This award is based on the percentage of physicians who rate the facility ‘excellent’ for any of the select categories. In Covenant Health’s case, physicians rated the nursing care excellent thus receiving the 5-star medical staff nursing care award.

This award is based on the percentage of physicians who rate the facility ‘excellent’ for any of the select categories. Covenant Health received the 4-star medical staff award for the categories of radiology services and laboratory services.
