Newswise — Darden Executive Education of the University of Virginia Darden School of Business today announced a portfolio of three short courses — two of them new — that will be taught this spring in the Washington, D.C. area.

Strategic Sales Management will help participants exceed their sales targets, foster long-term growth and increase the bottom line. Taught by Darden Professors Tom Steenburgh and Robert Spekman, with Professor Michael Ahearne of the University of Houston and best-selling author and sales force expert Neil Rackham, the four-day course will help participants define the best sales management strategy for their organizations. 20-23 April 2015, Washington, D.C.

New! Executive Excellence: Communicating, Engaging and Influencing in a Global Marketplace, taught in partnership with The Communication Center, is a new 2 ½ day program designed to immediately enhance participants’ communication skills. Award-winning journalists will lead a hands-on workshop to provide the concepts and practical experience needed to deliver quality media interviews. Darden Professor June West and a coaching team from the Communication Center will share new ways and strategies to connect with audiences across the globe. 6-8 May 2015, Washington, D.C.

New! Project Management for Executives, taught by Darden Professor Yael Grushka-Cockayne and Darden Senior Associate Dean and Chief Operating Officer Gerry Starsia, is a new two-day course that will provide leaders the language, philosophy and tools necessary to lead complex projects from inception through completion. Topics will include managing and mitigating risk, defining and managing project scope and expanse, navigating uncertainty and aligning and motivating multinational project teams. 12-13 May 2015, Washington, D.C.
