News outlets are reporting Russian computer hackers are linked to the release of thousands of DNC emails.

Jacob Furst a professor at DePaul University and an expert in security, privacy and homeland security explained that "Russia has some of the best computer scientists on the planet and with opportunities for ethical work extremely limited many of them have turned to hacking for the government and for organized crime."

"Getting into a U.S. server would be a tough task, but with enough patience and time a hacker is bound to succeed," noted Furst, director of DePaul's School of Computing.
