Newswise — The United States is safer from terrorism in the decade after 9/11, but localized threats from jihadists operating within the nation are higher than before the tragic events, says Dr. Bradley Thayer, a professor of political science at Baylor University. Thayer has served as a consultant to the RAND Corporation and has briefed the Pentagon's Office of Net Assessment, as well as other components of the Department of Defense.
