Newswise — Experts in nursing history at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing are available to talk with media for stories during National Nurses Week, which runs from May 6 to May 12.
Penn Nursing is home to the Barbara Bates Center for the Study of the History of Nursing, the world’s pre-eminent center for scholarship in nursing history. Marking its 25th anniversary this year, the Barbara Bates Center aims to ensure the generation of historical knowledge, scholarship, and research on healthcare and nursing history in the U.S. and internationally. The Center holds an extensive archival collection of photographs, artifacts, and the personal and professional papers of nursing leaders and clinicians, schools of nursing, visiting nurse associations, and other kinds of health care agencies.
