William Gruver, professor of management practice and the Howard I. Scott Chair in Global Commerce, Strategy and Leadership at Bucknell University, is available for interviews regarding the $13 billion JPMorgan settlement. As a former partner at Goldman Sachs, Gruver served as chief operating officer for the company's largest division, equities. He led the division's re-organization after the 1987 market crash, returning it to its most profitable years. Gruver also helped lead the division’s international expansion into Asia and Europe. Gruver's courses at Bucknell focus on international relations, leadership and strategy.

Quotes: “There's an irony in the government extracting this penalty from the firm that five years ago was asked to rescue failing institutions,” Gruver said. “Jamie is clearly paying up just to get this behind him.” “The big question I have is: were any executives assured that they would be excluded from the ongoing criminal probes in exchange for this huge settlement?” Gruver added. If you wish to speak with Mr. Gruver, please contact Andy Hirsch, Bucknell University director of media communications at [email protected] or (570) 238-1561. Please note: Bucknell University can provide a satellite up-link for live or pre-recorded television interviews.
