EVENT: The Fourth Annual American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA)-Sponsored Run For The Warriors® 5K Run/WalkDATE: Sunday, October 13, 2013LOCATION: Brannan Street Wharf (along the Embarcadero), San Francisco TIME: 7:30 a.m. PDT PURPOSE: Run For The Warriors® is a unique race dedicated to the men and women wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan, their families, and families of the fallen. It provides wounded service members the opportunity to run, walk or cycle to assist in their physical and emotional rehabilitation.
Each year, ASA sponsors a Run For The Warriors® 5K Run/Walk to unite service members, civilian community members and physician anesthesiologists in an effort to establish a long-term understanding and respect for the needs of local military families.
All proceeds benefit Hope For The Warriors®, a national nonprofit organization that assists post-9/11 service members, their families, families of the fallen, and those who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.
