Newswise — To celebrate Earth Week, students at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) in Syracuse, New York, were asked to share their favorite green-living life hacks.

Students who know a thing or two about green living shared tips ranging from composting food scraps to using pasta-sauce jars for storing leftovers and repurposing empty toilet paper rolls to start seedlings.

This is the second in ESF's series of "Cupcake Videos," in which students receive a cupcake as a thanks for sharing their ideas with the world.
