A Conversation With a Living Legend® Event Taps Fox News Channel Host to Lead Onstage Chat

Newswise — HOUSTON - Greta Van Susteren, host of Fox News Channel’s “On the Record With Greta Van Susteren,” will interview the Right Honorable Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, at the 23rd annual A Conversation With a Living Legend® May 9 in Dallas. This year’s luncheon, supported by business and community leaders in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, already has raised $788,000 for research and patient care initiatives at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Greta Van Susteren joined Fox News Channel (FNC) in 2002 as host of the prime-time news and interview program, "On the Record With Greta Van Susteren," the highest-rated cable news program in the 10 p.m. timeslot.

Prior to joining FNC, Van Susteren served as host of CNN's prime-time news and analysis show, "The Point With Greta Van Susteren," and co-hosted the network's daily legal program, "Burden of Proof."

During her career as a trial attorney, Van Susteren has represented clients in civil and criminal cases, arguing cases in federal appellate courts and state supreme courts.

Forbes Magazine recently named Van Susteren one of the world's 100 most powerful women. She and her husband, John P. Coale, live in Washington, D.C.

Tony Blair served as prime minister from May 1997 to June 2007. He also was the leader of Britain's Labour Party (1994 to 2007) and the Member of Parliament for Sedgefield, England (1983 to 2007). He continues to be active in public life. Since leaving Downing Street, Mr. Blair has served as the Quartet Representative to the Middle East.
