New York Masons Spread Holiday Cheer and Distribute "Toys for Tots"

Santa Claus and his entourage of elves and celebrity friends will deliver "Toys for Tots" from the Masonic Toys for Tots Foundation Inc. to hospitalized children at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell. The children will also be entertained by clowns, balloonists, and musical guests.

The event will feature the presentation of the Dewitt Clinton Award to Bill Gallo, New York Daily News columnist and cartoonist. The award will be bestowed by Neal I. Bidnick, Grand Master of the Masons of the State of New York. The prestigious honor recognizes outstanding public and community service by non-Masonic organizations and individuals.

Celebrity attendees will include "Law and Order, Special Victims Unit" Actress Diane Neal, WABC-TV Sports Director Scott Clark, Jacqueline Astor Drexel, Best-selling Author Carol Higgins-Clark, Actress Tina Louise, Hon. Robert M. Morgenthau, and Hon. Leroy Comre, among others.

The event is hosted by the Masonic Toys for Tots Foundation Inc. and Ivan Obolensky, President Emeritus of the Children's Blood Foundation, a charitable organization helping children with cancer and blood diseases receive the care they need and a major supporter of the Hematology/Oncology Division at the Komansky Center for Children's Health at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell.
