Newswise — New York, NY—January 15, 2016 - Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), a world leader in orthopedics, rheumatology and rehabilitation, today announced the signing of a lease to establish an outpatient center in Westchester County, New York.

Located near I-287 and the Hutchinson River Parkway at 1133 Westchester Avenue in White Plains, NY, the center will be approximately 50,000 square feet, making it the largest of the HSS outpatient centers. Other locations include Fresh Meadows, Queens; Uniondale, Long Island; Paramus, NJ; Stamford, CT; several sites in Manhattan; and HSS Spine and Sport in Jupiter, FL.

The center will include many of the state-of-the-art specialties and technologies that have earned HSS #1 ranking in the U.S. for Orthopedics for each of the past six years, by USNews & World Report Best Hospitals Report. The outpatient center will make access to world-class care more convenient for residents in the greater New York region.

With the lease signed, construction is set to begin in September 2016 with an anticipated opening in the fourth quarter of 2017.
