Insurance Exchange – The First 24-Hours:Media Call-In with the Pennsylvania Medical Society

WhatAs part of the Affordable Care Act, the Health Insurance Exchange (Marketplace) will open for public use on October 1. Shortly before that, rates for the Marketplace were announced. To help members of the media learn about the doctor’s perspective of this historic date – the good and the bad during the first 24 hours of the program – the Pennsylvania Medical Society will host a Media Call-In event.

WhoC. Richard Schott, MD, will take questions. Dr. Schott is the president of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and a practicing cardiologist from suburban Philadelphia.

Also participating will be Dennis Olmstead, Vice President of Practice Economics and Payer Relations, at the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Moderator will be Michael R. Fraser, PhD. Mike is the executive vice president of the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
