Jersey Shore, part of Meridian Health, is dedicated to advancing medical knowledge, both as a leading medical research facility and as an academic university-level teaching center. Research Day at Jersey Shore provides opportunities for Meridian Health medical experts to maintain proficiency in evaluating critical scientific data and present their original research studies and examples of practice-based learning to academic and professional communities. Throughout the day, guests also have the chance to view visual displays of research findings and interact with researchers.

Research Day concludes with a keynote address by John W. Denninger, M.D., Ph.D., director of Research, Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Denninger’s presentation – Can You Have Your Cake and Eat it Too? Genomic and Economic Advances in Integrative Health – will focus on the role and functions of integrative health and the exciting field of genetics. "Meridian Health Research Day continues to expand, and this year attracted nearly 140 case reports, original research abstracts and quality improvement projects from Meridian Health trainees and faculty," says David Kountz, M.D., MBA, vice president of Academic Affairs, Meridian Health.
