Hygiene Habits Stall: Public Handwashing Down

An observational study from the American Society for Microbiology and The Soap and Detergent Association finds one-third of men don't their wash hands in public restrooms, while 88 percent of women do lather up. Overall, slightly over three-quarters of 6000+ adults (77%) were seen washing their hands "“ a six percent decline from a similar study conducted in 2005. Yet in a separate telephone survey, 92% of adults say they wash their hands in public restrooms. The results were released during the annual observance of National Clean Hands Week.
