Stroke Recovery Theories Challenged by New Studies Looking at Brain Lesions, Bionic Arms

However, efforts have usually focused on stroke prevention and acute care. Now, two new studies suggest that stroke survivors left weakened or partially paralyzed may be able to regain more arm and hand movement even years after a stroke - information that clinicians may not know or pass on to their patients.
