Newswise — The Leukemia Research Foundation, in cooperation with Loyola University Health System and the National Marrow Donor Program, will host a free conference Saturday, May 11, for leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) patients and caregivers.
The conference will be held at the Hilton Chicago/Northbrook, 2855 N. Milwaukee Ave., Northbrook, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Parking, a continental breakfast and lunch are provided, free of charge.
Among the speakers are Dr. Patrick Stiff, director of Loyola’s Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, who will discuss advances in bone marrow transplantation and Dr. Aileen Go, who will discuss chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML).
The Treatment Options for Blood Cancer Patients Conference is an informational and educational program for blood cancer patients and their families. Attendees will learn more about their disease, treatment options and emerging therapies, and have their questions answered by medical experts.
