This online press kit includes media advisories and press releases for specific convention sessions or events. All press releases are embargoed for the time of presentation unless otherwise noted. A list of media advisories and press releases is included below with links. Papers and presentations are available through links provided in the advisories and press releases or from APA Public Affairs.


Convention Press Office:

Meeting Room 401, Metro Toronto Convention Centre – South Building, 255 Front St. West, Toronto, Ontario. Facilities will include work space, wireless connections for laptops/tablets, high-speed printer, telephones and APA staff resources. This room will also be the site of any news briefings if any are held during the convention.

Registration:

Media must be registered with APA’s convention press office to be present in the convention center during the meetings and to attend convention sessions. Media can register for the convention on site in the press room, in advance online, by emailing APA Public Affairs or calling 202-336-5700. Registration is limited to credentialed journalists; journalists who have assignment letters on the letterhead of a media organization; and public information officers from universities, non-profit organizations and government agencies. Media can make hotel reservations at http://www.apa.org/convention/register-housing/hotels/index.aspx.


Program and Papers:

The convention program is online. Printed programs will also be available on site.


Audio or Video Recording

All news media must follow audio and video recording rules and are required to obtain permission from participants before recording. Permission forms will be available in the press room or by emailing APA Public Affairs.
