A North Dakota State University interdisciplinary research team, which includes Bradley Hoffmann in the pharmaceutical sciences lab of Dr. Amanda Brooks, developed a 3-D printed silk spinning device which results in an improved production method for synthetic silk in biomedical applications. Their research is published in PLOS ONE.
