Newswise — WASHINGTON, DC (July 14, 2014)—The Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University (Milken Institute SPH) will hold a panel discussion on July 16 that will explore the recent Supreme Court decision for Burwell v. Hobby Lobby. The case focused on whether for-profit employers can, for religious reasons, limit the health insurance coverage of contraceptives for their employees.
Please join us at the event this Wednesday for a thought-provoking discussion of this landmark case. Speakers at the event will include Milken Institute SPH’s Sara Rosenbaum, JD, the Harold and Jane Hirsh Professor of Health Law and Policy, and Susan Wood, PhD, the executive director of the Jacob’s Institute for Women’s Health, as well as Adam Sonfield, a senior public policy advisor at the Guttmacher Institute. Speakers at the panel discussion will talk about the implications for women’s health, religious freedom and employer and employee rights.
