Dr. J. David Rogers, an expert in the impact of natural disasters such as hurricanes and flooding on dams, levees and slope stability, is available to discuss the potential impact of Hurricane Matthew.

Rogers is the Karl F. Hasselmann Missouri Chair of Geological Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology. He was the lead researcher on a 2015 paper published in the law journal Water Policy about key factors that led to levee walls' failure in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
