New products from Diatron for the AACC Show

The Diatron Group, a global provider of hematology and clinical chemistry analyzers, will be showing a prototype version of the new, bench top P500, medium throughput, clinical chemistry analyzer on our booth No 1118 at the AACC exhibition in Chicago.

The P500 is a new addition to Diatron’s range of clinical chemistry analyzers which includes the Pictus 700 and 400 models offering various levels of automation and throughput. Designed to offer market-leading performance more cost-effectively, the new P500 will have many features which are currently found only on more expensive clinical chemistry systems.

To complement the new P500 and our other automated clinical chemistry analyzers (Pictus 400 & Pictus 700) in the Pictus range, Diatron now offers an extensive range (60+tests) of high quality clinical chemistry reagents. These include substrates, enzymes, electrolytes, lipids, specific proteins and special tests. Easy-to-use and safe, the tests’ liquid reagents are ready-to-use and load directly onto the Diatron Pictus clinical chemistry analyzer range, for which they have been designed and performance-optimized.

Delivering high quality performance with excellent sensitivity, precision and linearity, all Diatron clinical chemistry reagents are QC-guaranteed. They are manufactured in large production lots in an ISO9001-certified production facility, where they undergo extensive performance testing for each batch and lot to ensure variation is minimized and shelf-life maximized to up to 24 months.

Our new Abacus 3CP hematology analyzer will be also shown on the booth. The new analyzer to the Abacus range, is a compact, bench top three part differential system with cap piercing for closed tube sampling. Enhanced significantly from the original version, the new model comes with the latest colour touch screen technology, brand new intuitive software interface and ability to read 2D barcodes for easy uploading of QC and calibration data. These new developments and the significantly reduced loading time make the Abacus 3CP very quick and easy to use. With its small footprint, the analyzer is therefore an ideal solution for small laboratories, satellite clinics and doctors’ offices alike.
