This new journal focuses on the study of exhaled breath in physiology and medicine, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of breath odors. The journal provides a forum for the presentation and critical evaluation of the different analytical techniques used for examination of breath samples for medical diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring.

Journal of Breath Research: Volatiles for medical diagnosis is the official journal of the International Association for Breath Research (IABR) and the International Society for Breath Odor Research (ISBOR).

The first issue is now available online at http://jbr.iop.org. Access to the journal will be free of charge throughout 2007.
