According to US Youth Soccer, approximately 3 million youth play soccer. Unfortunately,injuries are bound to happen.

In high school, Dr. Michael Nguyen played for nationally-ranked Dallas Texans soccer club and participated in the U.S. Soccer Olympic Development program. During his sports medicine fellowship training at Stanford Medical Center, he participated as one of the team physicians for the San Francisco 49ers as well as multiple different Stanford sports teams including football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. He has extensive experience taking care of athletes at all levels.

Dr. Nguyen is licensed in the state of Texas and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons; the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine; and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He also participates as an instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Dr. Nguyen graduated with highest honors from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He then attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he graduated at the top of his class. His orthopedic surgery training was performed at The University of California, Irvine Medical Center.
