She will be available prior to Senator McConnell’s press conference, 12 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. in Chao Auditorium, located in Ekstrom Library on the University of Louisville campus.

Farrier is a renowned educator and author of two books, including CONGRESSIONAL AMBIVALENCE: The Political Burdens of Constitutional Authority and can be contacted directly at 502-553-2539 or through Matt Lambert at 504-250-6794.

McConnell’s political legacy is on display just steps from today’s historic press conference at the McConnell-Chao Archives.

The archives preserve the papers of both McConnell and his wife former Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao, who became the first Asian American woman to serve in a cabinet-level position. The records are a combination of their life experiences and are a rich resource providing primary documentary evidence for research on our federal system of government.

The archives are located just steps from today’s press conference, on the lower level of the Ekstrom Library. Curator and archivist Deborah Skaggs Speth is available to speak to media and can be contacted at 502-852-7964.
