Rose Ann Laureto has been named chief information officer for ProMedica. Laureto’s primary responsibilities at ProMedica include oversight and management of all information technology processes. This will involve transitioning all facilities to an electronic delivery system that will improve quality, service, communications and safety for patients.
Laureto offers more than 30 years of experience as a healthcare information systems professional. She most recently served as CIO of University of North Carolina Health System in Chapel Hill, N.C. Her professional expertise includes executive level strategic planning, systems governance and strategic infrastructure. Laureto has also directly managed information technology divisions in large multi-entity health systems.
Laureto holds a Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., and a Master of Arts degree in Management from Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, Mich.
Karen Strauss has been named chief marketing, strategic planning and communications officer for ProMedica. Strauss’ primary responsibilities at ProMedica include providing leadership and direction in system strategic planning, brand development, marketing, public relations and communications.
Strauss offers more than 30 years of experience in strategy and marketing development and deployment. She most recently served as president and general manager of Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Masco Cabinetry, a business unit of the Fortune 500 Masco Corporation. Her professional expertise includes brand management, customer relationship management and disciplined cost control optimization.
Strauss holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich.
