Newswise — Proven Diagnostics, a clinical diagnostic laboratory located in Bethlehem, Pa., announced today that it has signed a contract with Highmark, the largest health insurer in Pennsylvania.

Proven Diagnostics will provide comprehensive laboratory services to Highmark members. The agreement covers both clinical and anatomic pathology. Proven Diagnostics also has agreements with most other health plans in the region.

Launched last year by Geisinger Health System, Proven Diagnostics provides medical professionals throughout the state access to a full spectrum of clinical laboratory services. The laboratory was recently awarded a two-year accreditation by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Proven Diagnostics is one of about 200 institutions that are CAP-accredited in Pennsylvania.
