Rail transportation expert available to discuss Washington state Amtrak derailment

 

ROLLA, Mo. – Dr. Jeff Schramm, a historian of modern technology, is available to discuss the Amtrak derailment in Washington State that occurred on Monday, Dec. 18. Dr. Schramm's scholarly research is in transportation, specifically 20th century railroads. His book, Out of Steam: Dieselization and American Railroads, 1920-1960, was published in August 2010 by Lehigh University Press.
