Newswise — CHICAGO (May 4, 2015): The American College of Surgeons (ACS) Clinical Congress 2015, one of the largest international meetings of surgeons in the world will convene October 4-8 in Chicago, Ill. McCormick Place West will house the scientific sessions and most courses, as well as all scientific posters and technical exhibits, while the Hilton Chicago will serve as headquarters hotel for the meeting.
This year’s theme is “Achieving Your Personal Best: Improvement Based on Evidence.” The scientific program features more than 100 panel sessions; didactic/experiential courses; surgical skills courses; Meet-the-Expert Luncheons; named lectures; scientific poster presentations; the Scientific Forum; video-based education sessions; and town hall meetings.
More than 200 companies will also be on site displaying products and services that improve the quality of surgical care or enhance surgical management practices.The 2015 meeting will feature panel sessions including:

- The Surgeon and Emotional Intelligence: It’s Real and Relevant
- Bariatric Surgery—Prevention and Management of Complications
