Among her research interests are nipple-sparing mastectomy, oncoplastic surgery, surveillance care for high-risk women, and breast conserving surgery to improve breast cosmesis. Concerning research on nipple-sparing mastectomy, she concurs with the findings of a new study published in the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery that supports it may provide another safe option for some women who need a mastectomy.
