Bill Gustafson, senior director of the Center for Financial Responsibility in the College of Human Sciences, helped found Texas Tech’s personal financial planning program. He has been involved with personal finance research for more than three decades and serves on the Board of Directors of the Academy for Financial Services, the Board of Directors of the International Foundation for Retirement Education and the Board of Directors for the New Mexico Project for Financial Literacy.

Deena Katz is an associate professor of personal financial planning and principal of Evensky & Katz LLC in Coral Gables, Fla., and Lubbock. She has been named one of the 25 most influential people in the financial planning industry four times by Investment Advisor magazine. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association board of directors and author of six books on financial planning and practice management topics.
