When monuments fallOn Sunday, December 8, masked anti-government protestors toppled a monument to Vladimir Lennin in Kiev, Ukraine. History shows that when systems fall, so do statues: 1956, the statue of Joseph Stalin by anti-soviets in Budapest; 1989, the statue of Felix Dzerzhinsky, founder of the KGB, in Moscow; 2003, the statue of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad.
