Newswise — The University of Chicago Medicine is partnering with BroadcastMed Inc. to launch Learning at the Forefront, a new digital education platform for medical professionals.

The online portal, which already includes more than 80 presentations from dozens of leading UChicago Medicine specialists, is designed to be a resource for medical professionals and informed patients worldwide. Content on the website is accessible through free registration and will be continually updated as UChicago Medicine’s world-class faculty weigh in on emerging topics in their respective specialties and sub-specialties. The educational resources available on the portal include new practice procedures, novel diagnostic and treatment options as well as research covering a wide variety of topics.

“We want to bring the depth and breadth of UChicago Medicine to our referring medical community,” said Kenneth S. Polonsky, MD, dean of the Biological Sciences Division and the Pritzker School of Medicine and executive vice president for medical affairs at the University of Chicago. “Learning at the Forefront will enable to us to share our faculty’s insights, techniques, procedures and expertise with their colleagues around the globe.”

UChicago Medicine is the first medical center in Illinois to partner with BroadcastMed, which works with more than 40 leading medical facilities to develop comprehensive learning portals. The lectures and presentations from UChicago Medicine faculty will enhance the company’s extensive portfolio of presentations.
