Sinclair Broadcasting fired Washington, DC Bureau Chief Jon Lieberman this week, when he criticized company plans to broadcast an hour-long program highly critical of Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry's Vietnam record.

Newswise — Sinclair Broadcasting fired Washington, DC Bureau Chief Jon Lieberman this week, when he criticized company plans to broadcast an hour-long program highly critical of Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry's Vietnam record. Lieberman called plans to broadcast the program on all of Sinclair's 62 televison stations "indefensible." Sinclair management characterized Lieberman as a "disgruntled employee."
