Newswise — The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) opens its doors to young women who are interested in science, math, engineering and technology careers on Saturday, May 17, 2008. This year, we invite girls in grades 6-8 to take part in hands-on activities related to space, astronomy and engineering -- real life scientific research underway at STScI. Middle school-aged girls are encouraged to share their career dreams, ask questions and interact with the women panelists to explore opportunities in a number of space science career disciplines. Continental breakfast and lunch are included. This WSF event runs from 9am to-3pm.
