Newswise — The International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS) announces that Dr. Michael Roizen of the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Center will deliver the T.H. Seldon Memorial Lecture, the keynote speech of the 2010 Annual Meeting for the International Anesthesia Research Society, to be held in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Roizen, the renowned author of the bestselling “YOU” books as well as the author of hundreds of articles and numerous works of outstanding scholarship, will deliver an address entitled, “Sweet Sixteen: A Life Just Starting: Yours.”

The T.H. Seldon Memorial Lecture was established to honor Dr. Harry Seldon, the Editor-in-Chief of Anesthesia & Analgesia from 1954-1976. The keynote speech at the IARS Annual Meeting was named after Dr. Seldon in 1992, after his death in 1991.

About Dr. Roizen

Dr. Michael Roizen is a graduate of the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine and performed his residency in internal medicine at Harvard’s Beth Israel Hospital. He is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and of Anesthesiology. Dr. Roizen is the co-founder of RealAge.com, recently sold to the Hearst Corporation, and still chairs its Scientific Advisory Board.
