Schools across the nation are reporting a spike in flu cases and medical experts are calling this year's flu strain the worst in a decade. Amid the outbreak, how are schools preparing to prevent flu cases? A Saint Louis University study says many U.S. schools are not prepared for bioterrorism attacks, outbreaks of emerging infectious diseases or pandemics, despite the recent 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic that resulted in more than 18,000 deaths worldwide.
