UGA Expert Available to Discuss Government Budgets, Accountability

Expert: Dr. Thomas Lauth, Dean, School of Public and International Affairs/Professor of Public Administration and Policy, University of Georgia

Dean Lauth is considered to be one of the leading experts in public budgeting and finance, and the state budget process. Lauth is the author or coauthor of more than 50 journal articles on public budgeting and the author or editor of five books. He is widely known for his expertise and is frequently called on to provide his viewpoint to local, state and national media outlets. Lauth has been serving as Dean of UGA's School of Public and International Affairs since 2002. In 2000, he was elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration.
