As you prepare your Breast Cancer Awareness Month stories, please consider interviewing Jean Latimer, Ph.D., associate professor of pharmaceutical sciences at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Pharmacy. She has nearly 20 years of breast cancer research experience. Her current research includes the environmental factors that cause breast cancer, including BPA. She can provide advice on simple lifestyle changes that can help prevent breast cancer, including cosmetics, diet and exercise. Jean Latimer, Ph.D., associate professor of pharmaceutical sciences at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Pharmacy (COP), has been appointed to serve on NSU’s Faculty Advisory Council (FAC). The goal of the FAC is to enhance, protect, and maintain the intellectual integrity of the university through its academic programs. The Council serves as a forum to recommend new and innovative change; a platform to address academic issues and concerns; and a resource for conceiving, developing, and implementing new projects. Latimer is a cancer researcher and educator who joined COP from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine.
