University of Utah professor of law Clifford Rosky is available to discuss a federal judge’s recent ruling that Utah’s Amendment 3 — which bans same-sex couples from marrying — is unconstitutional. Rosky is one of the country's leading experts on the constitutionality of laws against same-sex marriage.

In 2008, he co-authored an amicus brief to the California Supreme Court, which was cited in the court's decision allowing same-sex couples to marry in California. In 2011, he published an award-winning article on the Prop 8 case, “Perry v. Schwarzenegger and the Future of Same-Sex Marriage Law,” in the “Arizona Law Review.”

This year, he joined an amicus brief filed with the United States Supreme Court in the Prop 8 case on behalf of a national group of family law and constitutional law professors, and he recently blogged about the discussion of children in the Supreme Court oral arguments on Alliance for Justice.

He has given several newspaper, radio and television interviews on the Prop 8 and DOMA cases, as well as the Amendment 3 case.
