New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced Tuesday that he is cracking down on high-frequency traders and according to the New York Times, “scrutinizing services that allow fast traders to profit on important information before other investors even see it.”
Associate Professor Terrence Hendershott studies algorithmic trading and its implications on investors as well as the finance market’s regulatory policies. His current research also focuses on using “big data” to better calculate investments and risk management.
