Newswise — WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) has announced the results of the 2014 CUR Executive Board elections. CUR, with its close to 700 institutional members and more than 10,000 individual members, supports faculty and student development for high-quality undergraduate student-faculty collaborative research and scholarship. The newly elected board members include:-Roger Rowlett, Colgate University – President- Elect,-Linda Freed, Texas Christian University – Secretary,-Bill Campbell – General Representative through June 2017,-Jenny Olin Shanahan, Bridgewater State University – General Representative through June 2016, and-Silvia Ronco, Research Corporation for Science Advancement – General Representative through June 2015.

CUR’s Executive Officer was excited to announce the election results stating, “All five of these newly-elected members of the CUR Executive Board bring extensive backgrounds in leadership and management of undergraduate research programs and services at their home institutions, and breadth and depth of experience within CUR governance and operations. “

CUR looks forward to benefiting from their years of leadership in undergraduate research community.
