With the control of the Senate at stake and the staying power of the Tea Party movement in question, the results of this year’s primary elections will set the stage for the November general election. The George Washington University has experts who can provide context, opinion and analysis about the May 20 primary elections being held in Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Oregon and Pennsylvania.

Lara Brown, director of the Political Management program, is an expert on national elections, presidential candidates, congressional incumbents and American political parties. Professor Brown is available to discuss primary elections and the role the Tea Party movement has played in them.

Mark Kennedy, director of the Graduate School of Political Management, is a Congressional expert. Professor Kennedy was a member of U.S. Congress, R-Minn., (2001-07) where he gained a reputation for bipartisanship.
