Newswise — Chemclin’s Anti-TB assay provides components for in-vitro qualitative determination of Antibody to Mycobacterium Tuberculosis (Anti-TB) in human serum or plasma by an indirect chemiluminescent assay method.

With a test result close to the gold standard (phlegm smear and germiculture), Chemclin’s Anti-TB assay has a positive correlation to the existing commercial methods including a colloidal gold immunoassay which has been widely used in most of the hospitals and laboratories in China.

Tuberculosis is a chronically infectious disease caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. The virus may live in the human body for a long time. Almost all tissues and organs may suffer from infection of mycobacterium tuberculosis and further break out tuberculosis. The diagnosis of tuberculosis must be based on full analysis of medical history, clinical symptoms and results from physical examination and laboratory tests, which can help make the diagnosis carefully.
