A recent statement from Robin Williams’ wife revealed that he was in the early stages of Parkinson’s disease. We have an expert, Ted Dawson, M.D., Ph.D., that can speak on the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and its relation to depression, the treatments available and their effectiveness, and the quality of life expected if one were to go through the progression of the disease.

In addition to seeing patients with Parkinson’s disease, Dr. Dawson also leads a research lab that investigates new ways to treat the disease. He is the Director for Cell Engineering and of the Morris K. Udall Parkinson's Disease Research Center. He will be available for interviews Friday, August 15, 2014 from 10:30 a.m.—noon and after 3:30 p.m. EDT.
