Newswise — Holmdel, NJ – August 19, 2014 – Riverview Medical Center and Bayshore Community Hospital are pleased to welcome Sunita Nankoo, M.D. to the Medical Staff.

Specializing in radiology and fellowship trained in women’s imaging, Dr. Nankoo joins Bokran Won, M.D. and her team of fellowship trained breast imagers at the Women's Center at Bayshore Community Hospital and Riverview Medical Center.

Sunita Nankoo, M.D. recently completed fellowship training in women's imaging at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Dr. Nankoo's postgraduate training included a residency in diagnostic radiology at Temple University Hospital and an internal medicine internship at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden, NJ.

During her academic and postgraduate career, Dr. Nankoo has been the recipient of awards and honors including one in academic excellence for diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine. Dr. Nankoo is currently a member of multiple professional societies including the American Roentgen Ray Society and the American College of Radiology. She has also conducted clinical research, has experience in academic teaching and participates in community service activities.
